There is a little magical machine called the camera.
This machine is capable of helping capture unrepeatable and very precious moments in life.
When you welcome a camera into your life as your own personal time capsule, the amazing storytelling can begin.
Life is surrounded by beauty and must never be taken for granted. On many occasion, I have teamed with individuals and families experiencing different phases of life, including my own mother. Those are indeed the unrepeatable moments I mentioned earlier.
And, not too long ago I was diagnosed with the very early stages of Fuch's Dystrophy. The condition could one day affect both eyes and may lead to cornea transplants. However, knowing what may be ahead, I can be prepared. In the meanwhile, I will continue to look for even the slightest amount of beauty in everything my eyes are blessed to see.
Follow that curve in your road, and grab your camera along the way!
Embrace life.
By nature I am a creative, accompanied by the sometimes conflicting planner buried within.
When fostered and managed effectively, these somewhat opposite attributes can and do result in cool and effective initiatives. The combustion of "IDEAS and RESULTS" is always so much fun to experience!
Teaming with those who can see all the way through the idea to the end result are those with whom I enjoy working the most.
Element Project Management & Planning, LLC: it is my little gateway to freelance creativity and project planning...photography, event planning, strategic initiatives, and more.
No, that's not Taurus you see.
Taurus was a dog from about 40 years ago...
As a very young child, I made the mistake of wrongfully entering a certain dog's personal space. That dog was Taurus.
Thankfully, my right eye was spared as a result of that encounter.
For many decades since, I have been naturally hesitant around some large dogs after taking that bad bite to the face.
Working with area K-9 teams has greatly helped me gain confidence in being near such strong animals while being in a safe and controlled environment. Knowingly or not, each team has played an important role in helping me face and work toward reducing a 40-year old fear...
Pictured here is K-9 Barry. At nearly 100lbs., I found Barry's demeanor very welcoming and I thoroughly enjoyed our close interaction and time together. K9 Barry is quite the cool pup.
Observing and photographing 113+ K-9 teams throughout Wisconsin has taught me so much about these amazing creatures. Seeing their power and obedience, along with their inner playful puppy shine through is hard to describe.
Before each photoshoot, I feel like a little kid who is on their way to an exciting and educational field trip. You know - that kind of day when you get away from the ordinary stuff and get to see some really cool things. Remember those kind of days? Well, no two photoshoots are ever alike and that's how they make me feel!
Pictured here is K-9 Csibi, one of the very first area K-9's I had the pleasure of seeing in action during a community demonstration several years ago. He was very impressive in both his skills and personality. Many community members, including myself, have much respect for Csibi and his handler. Csibi's EOW is 9.21.22.
